Very disappointed

I ordered this item in hope to give it to my best friend for her 30th birthday. The delivery date stated 5-8 working days. I was not notified of any delays until I contacted the company 1 weeks later to chase. At that point I was told there was a problem with manufacturing and that it would take additional time. Although responses were fast I was left to constantly chase this- I did not receive this item until 3 weeks later- I had emailed to advise the date I needed it for (4 weeks from the day I had made my order). I unfortunately saw her empty handed, as I had no extra money to afford a second present. My friend has now flown back to her home country and I’m now left with this expensive item until next year.
