Too short

I love the pendant and quality but am trying to figure out why the chain is so short! Only 14 inches long- a child’s length. I needed it for a birthday within 2 days so had to go to a local jewelry store and buy a longer chain. That involved another $200 that I didn’t plan to send. Now I am wondering if you will take back the brand new 14 inch chain you sent with the pendant. Then I will be 100% satisfied and happy! Thank you.
